Brown posted the fastest lap, and took half a second across the first seven laps of the run home to reduce Feeney’s lead to 2.5s. By Lap 38 Brown had cut the lead down to 1.5s, foreshadowing what an asset he would go on to be for Red Bull this season! With just six to go, things got heated with the lead below a second, but Feeney had the final answer as he pushed his lead to beyond a second by the time the chequered flag flew.
