A failed pass at The Chase saw Brown handed a five-second penalty before a late crash at Griffin’s Bend on Lap 131 left the Camaro missing its rear wing and bonnet — a brutal end to an otherwise competitive run. Despite the damage, Brown and Feeney had already locked themselves into the new Finals format for the Gold Coast 500.
