Shell V-Power Racing Team #17 Ford Mustang GT – 2026 NTI Townsville 500 Race 22 Winner – Brodie Kostecki
The #17 Shell V-Power Racing Team Ford Mustang arrived at the Townsville 500 sporting a striking new look, trading its iconic Shell V-Power red for a vibrant Minions-inspired yellow. The eye-catching livery celebrated the exclusive Minions & Monsters Bag Buddy collectables available at Reddy Express and Shell OTR stores across Australia. Beyond the promotion, the bold yellow colour scheme also stirred memories for Dick Johnson Racing fans, recalling the team’s famous yellow Falcons that claimed victory in the 1994 Bathurst 1000 and the 1995 Australian Touring Car Championship, as well as the popular wildcard Mustang that appeared at the 2023 Bathurst 1000.
In just his second season with Shell V-Power Racing Team, Brodie Kostecki has continued to establish himself as one of the benchmark drivers of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship. Arriving in Townsville with five race wins and 10 podium finishes already to his name, Kostecki added to that tally with podium finishes in Races 20 and 21 before capping off the weekend with victory in Race 22.
Blending a fan-favourite livery with another outstanding on-track performance, the Townsville 500 became another memorable weekend for Shell V-Power Racing Team and Kostecki, adding another chapter to an already impressive 2026 campaign.
This model is scheduled to be produced in high quality die-cast with opening parts which includes the bonnet and both the driver and passenger doors.
A highly detailed racing cockpit can be seen through the molded clear glasshouse, or by opening the doors to examine the interior further. Under the bonnet includes a detailed 5.4-litre Coyote quad overhead cam V8 and engine bay surround. Underneath the model, the undercarriage details the unique Gen3 floorpan.
Comprised of roughly 204 individual metal and plastic parts, with anywhere between 100-200 steps in paint and decoration finishing, including tampo printing where possible, photo etched parts including the bonnet pints, brake rotors and more, this is a high quality, detailed collectors model.
It will come in an exclusive, one-off limited edition with an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity presented in its own, Authentic Collectables branded protective cardboard folder.
